Meditation
Meditation is not about religion. The practice of meditation crosses all boundaries of religion. I describe it as a deep prayerful state of being. When you pray now, what do you usually do? Most people find themselves talking to God. Our talk often includes asking for help for someone we know and care about or help for ourselves. When we talk to God we often give thanks or we ask for guidance. In other words, we are TALKING, TALKING TALKING.
In meditation, we are finally listening and not constantly talking.
Meditation is simply the quieting of the thinking mind. Most people find this is extremely difficult and challenging to do. There are, however, many techniques to work with our mind and become friends with our thoughts. An entire world of our senses opens up to us. Our senses heighten and our awareness awakens.
In meditation, we finally begin to sense the feeling of God. We learn to listen. As we listen, we become aware that our soul sounds and feels different from our mind.
I teach the process of meditation to individuals and groups.
